ROSES’ FISH “SUQUET” Roses’ cultural wealth is also found at the table. As dynamic as the town, the local cuisine has experienced a series of changes and evolutions. The town’s traditional fishermen created a recipe based on a combination of fresh products. In coves or at home "Suquet" was cooked, a simple dish of freshly caught fish boiled with potatoes. Over time, this homemade recipe has been enriched with the incorporation of typically Mediterranean products, giving rise to different versions of this dish. The restaurants taking part in the “Suquet de Peix de Roses” campaign present various versions of this traditional fisherman’s dish, as well as offering a wide range of wines from the Empordà region.

Medieval Púbol castle-during the 1970s the residence of Dali's wife and in the early-1980s his own -was opened to the public in 1996 as the GALA DALÍ CASTLE HOUSE-MUSEUM.

Inside are paintings and drawings Dalí gave Gala to adorn the castle, elephant scuplptures Dalí installed in the garden, and a collection of Gala's haute couture dresses, as well as the furniture and innumerable objects Gala and Dalí used to decorate the castle.
Opne from 15 March to 1 November (open the rest of the year for group visits arranged in advance).
15 March-14 June/16 September-1 November: 10:30-18 ENTRANCE TO THE MUSEUM IS PERMITED UNTIL 17:15. Closed Mondays (except public holidays and eves of holidays).
15 June-15 September: 10:30-20 ENTRANCE TO THE MUSEUM PERMITED UNTIL 19:15. Open every day without exception.
